Black with Biscuit leather interior, Tan carpets and Tan convertible top, Older restored, Uprated 5-speed gearbox, Multiple 1st in Class concours winner, Chrome wire wheels, Matching Numbers, Heritage Certificate. This E-type Roadster is a matching numbers example. According to its Jaguar Daimler Heritage Certificate it was delivered new to the U.S. market, sold new by Jaguar Cars New York to its first registered owner Mr. R. McAlaer of Washington, D.C. on September 21, 1963 as a 1964 model. This E-type Roadster was restored by the previous owner approximately in the early 2000's and has accumulated approximately 10,000 miles since. A stunningly elegant color combination, this E-type received several modern upgrades with the thought of producing not only a beautiful restoration, but also a vintage Jaguar with modern amenities that allow it to be far more useable, reliable and fun. These upgrades include, Higher compression pistons for just that little extra performance, a 5-speed Tremec gearbox (full synchromesh – 5th gear for better highway cruising original fitment was the standard non-synchro 4-speed Moss gearbox), Lightened flywheel, Recored radiator with auxiliary fan, Electronic ignition, Electric fuel pump, Gear reduction starter, Uprated Generator, Hi-Performance air cleaners, Uprated Wilwood brakes, 4.2 liter reclining seats (rather than 3.8 buckets), Blaupunkt Europa with modern components for Ipod capability, Custom fit tonneau cover and a Stainless Steel exhaust system. All items add to the cars driving enjoyment, but when viewed are not visible, so it's still perfect for the concours lawn. This E-type is complete with original tools and jack, it is excellent in every way, cosmetically, structurally, mechanically and has proven its restoration having been done properly as it is as clean today as it was when first completed several years ago. Well-known, serviced and sold in the past by Autosport Designs we can attest to its being excellent and serviced properly to date. This is an opportunity to purchase an excellent Series 1 E-type Roadster with the best of the best for a fraction of its original restoration cost. This E-type is superb in every way and ready for immediate road use or concours.
