Aston Sage Green with All-Chestnut Aniline leather interior and Brown carpeting, edged Chestnut, 3,000 miles from new, 6-speed manual transmission, RHD, #66 of a total of 99 manufactured for the world-wide market, Superb ownership provenance from new, Original owner Mr. Eric Clapton. The DB7 Vantage Zagato is derived from DB7 - the most successful Aston Martin of all time. It boasts revised body styling with coachwork by Zagato of Italy. It incorporates a number of dynamic elements, which have been finely engineered to offer a new dimension to the Aston Martin driving experience. Available only as a two-seater, the DB7 Zagato has a large distinctive radiator grille and accentuating rear wheel arches, while the carefully detailed features such as the reverse/fog light combination provide graphic evidence of intricate hand craftsmanship and quality that has become an Aston Martin trademark. The car is powered by an up-rated 'GT' version of the V12, with power up to 435 bhp and torque to 410 lb ft. The active sports exhaust system with rear muffler by-pass valves - as used on the V12 Vanquish - provide the DB7 Zagato with a very distinctive exhaust note. The DB7 Zagato is also fitted with the DB7 GT quick-shift gear lever and special multi-spoke 19" alloy wheels with revised offset to give a wider track (8x19" front, 9½x19" rear), equipped with 245/35 ZR19 front and 265/30 rear low profile tires. Braking is supplied through Brembo discs as well as an up-rated brake booster unit as used on the V12 Vanquish for a firmer and more consistent pedal feel. This DB7 Zagato Coupe has been well-known to Autosport Designs. It has had three owners from new, the first being the famed Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Mr. Eric Clapton. The second, collector, Mr. Juan Barazi, and the third, previous owner, Mr. Jim Taylor. Purchased in 2007 through well-known and respected marque specialist Nicholas Mee & Co., this Zagato Coupe had only 1,799 miles from new. Today, it shows 3,788 miles from new. Always cared for and serviced as needed, complete with its owner's books, car cover in numbered bag, and First Aid Kit, this Zagato Coupe is certainly one of the best of its kind available with regard to condition as well as ownership provenance from new.
