What you see here is probably the most valuable Corvette Grand Sport GS80 ever produced. Truly a one of one car, this amazing machine has quite the back story. Built by legendary Corvette racer and builder Dick Guldstrand for his close friend and business partner Steve Platt, this GS80 is the last GS80 built, the only 1991 Corvette converted into a GS80, and the only GS80 painted Dark Metallic Green. As it was the last GS80 built, and being built for Dick's close friend and partner, this GS80 was spared no expense. Under the hood is a 381CI small block Chevrolet engine built by TRACO and producing 407 screaming fuel injected horsepower. This power is routed through a heavy duty six speed manual transmission and onto a Dana 44 limited slip rear differential. Putting the power to the pavement are massive 315mm wide Goodyear Eagle F1 supercar tires mounted on custom light weight 17" aluminum wheels. Braking is courtesy of Wilwood drilled disc brakes all around with six piston front calipers and brake cooling ducts from under the front bumper. The exterior of this Corvette is in excellent shape, and the color combination is attractive and under stated. On the inside, you will find all the creature comforts you would expect, including power leather seats, power window, lock and mirrors, AM/FM CD stereo, and lift off targa roof for open air motoring.
