This is a 2003 Aston Martin DB AR1 Zagato Roadster David Brown American Roadster 1. One of the most desirable modern day collectors peices, the DB AR1 was produced in 2003 for only 99 extremely fortunate Aston Martin lovers for a price of $250k. The chassis was that of a DB7 Vantage Volante while the suspension and brakes were out of the 2003 DB7 GT. The automatics put out 420 bhp and 410lb ft of torque, giving the driver the true sensation of driving a GT Supercar. The renown Italian designer, Zagato, had created many rare historical Aston Martin bodies in the past, such as the DB4 GT Zagato, and with the DB AR1 Zagato produced a skin that gave the car it's famous "Double Bubble" profile. Each AR1 was given the signature Zagato "Z" under the turn signal. It is a car that every Aston Martin collector has dreamed of having. As a "true roadster" this extremely unique stunning Aston was never offered a top, so this car requires love, respect, and a covered garage! A tonneau cover instead was provided by Aston Martin, as well as two seat covers with the logo and number of the car right on the front. In the trunk were two golf umbrellas, instead of just one that was offered in the other models. Car covers with matching numbers were also supplied by Aston Martin for protective storing. Along with the matching numbers, each VIN number represtented the number of the car and each passenger who got into the vehicle was reminded of something special by the sill plaques that read its production number.
